The Millie McKeever's Story...
Our story...started years ago in the back alley of my families house on 5th Street in Highland Park. It's a messy story...starting in the back alley digging up treasures on Saturday's and taking them to my grandmother's house, Millie McKeever, just four houses away. She would help me clean up my 'buried treasure'. It created a love of me in all things vintage, buried, old, used, tossed aside, unwanted, and anything with rust. You can click here to read the full story...welcome to my alley and 'hidden treasures'.

Woman's Retreat 2023
Our sister company, The Notebook Cafe, has their second annual woman's retreat...A November to Remember - A Branson Christmas, November 9th-12th. TWO SPACES LEFT.
Women loved our first women's retreat in November 2022 that we've again partnered with Allied Tours to offer our second women's retreat to Branson, Missouri, 'A November to Remember' - A Branson Christmas, Thursday, November 9th - Sunday, November 12th. We have a limited number of guests to keep our group small. 'A November to Remember' with The Notebook Cafe will be a great way to begin the Christmas season in your heart. Our first retreat to Branson WAS AMAZING! These wonderful women of faith became close friends that still keep in touch. We witnessed a miracle or two...shared our hearts...enjoyed meaningful devotion and prayer time with Shelly Thompson, The Notebook Cafe Publisher...dined at fabulous places like Paula Deen's Restaurant, Landon's Seafood and Grill, Smith's Family Restaurant (the best tenderloin in the WORLD)...enjoyed fabulous shows, spent time in an amazing very old small log church in the Ozark Hills that was very special...shopped at the amazing places at Branson Landing, historic downtown Branson, and 411 Vintage (the favorite). We also enjoyed the wonderful Branson Veteran's Day Parade thanking many veterans. God truly provided an unforgettable time of fellowship and meeting with Him to get our focus on Him as Christmas approached. We're SO excited to see what God has planned in 2023 for our second women's retreat!

See our Before and After Projects!
Owning and restoring an 1875 bank building in Walnut, Iowa, where Millie McKeever's is located was a huge project that took a few years, lots of family, buckets of money, serious advil usage for backaches, lifting super heavy items, learning how to use a hammer with precision, and LOVE for an old structure. We also have a one-hundred-year-old house in a historic district in Des Moines that we've been restoring. Come along with us and see just a few of our before and after projects.
