'The Cafe'
In the oldest standing building in the historic Midwest town of Walnut, Iowa, The Notebook Café is an amazing and unique place for women to gather. 'The Cafe' is located in our 1875 bank building restored by The Notebook Cafe Publisher, Shelly Thompson, her husband, and parents. Since the fall of 2017 'The Cafe' has welcomed over 1,000 women. These women include Bible Study groups, circle groups, Red Hat members, Birthday gatherings, mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends. 'The Cafe' visit concludes with a tour of the 1875 historic bank building. You'll be amazed at the simplicity and beauty of the building. After your time at 'The Cafe' you can leisurely stroll along the quaint brick lined streets of Walnut and enjoy several amazing shops featuring vintage, shabby, recycled, upscaled, and repurposed finds. 'The Cafe' is a great meet-up for a 'Girl's Day Out with God!' where you'll be refreshed in the Word...spend some relaxing time of fellowship with friends...and enjoy some great shopping! Don't forget about Birthday parties (who wouldn't want to celebrate their Birthday in an 1875 historic building)!
