You're cordially invited to attend our recreation of the beloved Younker's Tea Room at The Cafe in Walnut on April 1st from 11:00 - 12:30. You'll enjoy a vintage style show, courtesy of True Junk, while you are served lunch. We'll roll out the Younker's red carpet of hospitality while giving a brief presentation on the highlights of Younker's founded in 1856 by three of the Younker's brothers. We also have a few pieces of Younker's memorabilia including one of the mannequin's used at Younker's in downtown Des Moines in the women's clothing department, with the shipping box and label!

Come meet the Biblical Women of Easter...

This has been an exciting and educational study! Our online group has grown to 85 women from several states joining us each week. We're in week 7 of our online video series The Women of Easter. We discuss…are we ‘all in’ when God’s plan is hard, or heartbreaking? There are still whispers of ‘Crucify Him’ by all the disobedience in our country, and even a push by ‘the crowds’ to accept things God clearly calls sin. Our society mocks our Savior every day…choosing to do whatever is pleasing to self…following their own will, unlike Jesus who did the will of His Father. Yet, we are so privileged, because when Jesus gave His last breath on earth…we could breathe our first whispers into the heavens to God. With the tearing of the temple curtain we had access to God. Jesus was now the true High Priest forever.

The Notebook Cafe second women's retreat in November 2023...A November To Remember - A Branson Christmas
Join us for our second women's retreat 'A November to Remember - A Branson Christmas', November 9th - November 12th. Seating is limited, so you'll want to register early. You secure your registration by paying a $100 deposit, and Allied bills the remaining amount in September. This is a trip you won't want to miss. Prayerfully consider joining us. The Notebook Cafe offered it's FIRST women's retreat this past November...A November to Remember - A Branson Christmas, and IT WAS AMAZING (see a few photos in our gallery below). These wonderful women of faith became close friends that still keep in touch. We witnessed a miracle or two...shared our hearts...enjoyed devotion time with Shelly Thompson, The Notebook Cafe Publisher...dined at fabulous places like Paula Deen's Restaurant, Landon's Seafood and Grill, Smith's Family Restaurant (the best tenderloin in the WORLD)...enjoyed shows including The Miracle of Christmas at the Sights and Sounds Theater (in 2023 it will be the Story of Esther - For a Time Such as This), visited some amazing small churches that were very special...shopped at the amazing shops at Branson Landing and 411 Vintage (the favorite). We also enjoyed the wonderful Branson Veteran's Day Parade thanking many veterans. God truly provided an unforgettable time of fellowship and meeting with Him to get our focus on Him as Christmas approached.
We have again partnered with Allied Travel to assist us in arranging our women's retreat...A November to Remember - A Branson Christmas for November 2023.
