Grab your girlfriends and head to the sweet Midwest town of Walnut, Iowa to our 1875 historic bank building for Friendsgiving at The Cafe. You'll love the simplicity and beauty of this 147-year-old building. The oldest standing building in Walnut and the first fireproof brick building built in the Midwest, saving it from a fire in the 1880's. The main floor gathering room and top level boarding rooms will be beautifully decorated for the season of Thanksgiving.
You'll enjoy a wonderful meal including our special roasted turkey with cranberry sauce cafe sandwich, pasta salad, fruit, and a thick slice of Esther's Kickin' Up Your Heels Pumpkin Bread. Tea and coffee are also provided. After a fabulous lunch and gathering with friends, we'll enjoy a brief Thanksgiving devotion and then a tour of the building, where you'll be immersed in the simplistic and thoughtful seasonal decor.
